AFC Worthing Diva Parent in 5-a-side 12 hour football match in aid of local charity Chestnut Tree House

We would like to wish one of our parents the best of luck with a charity event he is helping to organise.  Craig Punter, father of one of our Divas Under 14’s team, will be taking part in a 5-a-side non-stop 12 hour football match on Sunday 21st September, at Worthing Leisure Centre from 8am to 8pm.

Alongside his work colleagues from ‘Families Fostering Residential Services’, Craig will be running himself up and down the pitch all in the name of charity!

Chestnut Tree House is the only children’s hospice in Sussex and cares for 280 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire. There are potentially 1,000 families with life-limited children in Sussex. Chestnut Tree House offers support for the whole family including psychological and bereavement support, end of life and short break care and sibling support.

The hospice costs almost £3 million per year to run. Families are never charged for their care and less than 8p in every pound is funded by the government, so they rely heavily on the generosity, help and support of the people of Sussex.

Best of luck Craig and your team with this amazing event, please see their justgiving page below.

Would you like to take part???? Craig is still looking for players for this event so if you are free even just for an hour he would love to hear from you. Contact Craig Punter on 07565 551496
